Leadership is an attempt to influence people’s behavior pattern. Basically it means to guide or to
nurture an organization or a group of individual.
Leadership can be both a process and a property. By process it means, the use of non-coercive
influence to shape the individual’s or organization’s goal or purpose. In the other hand, by property
it means the set of characteristics attributed to individuals who are perceived to be leaders. Who
can fulfill these two themes of leadership, (1) can influence or motivate the behavior of others, (2)
others accept him/her as a leader; is called leader.
Thus leadership is a process of influencing group towards an achievement of goals or purpose, so it
involves three elements:

If a person wants to lead an organization, motivate the workers or influence the group of
individual, he has to work properly by keeping these three elements in concern. Without influence
(motivation or rule), group (group of individual or workers) and context (the situation of the work
place) it is impossible to form leadership or rule / lead an organization.
Leadership means different things to different people around the world, and different things in
different situations. For example, it could relate to community leadership, religious leadership,
political leadership, and leadership of campaigning groups.
