Press mud was subjected to vermicomposting and the suitability of worm to work in this organic waste was analysed. Three different earthworm Eisenia fetida, Eudrilus eugeniae and Perionyx excavatus were taken into study. The vermibed was set by blending pressmud and saw dust. The experiment set up was made with three monoculture and four polyculture with one control as experiment. The physic chemical characters were analysed and reported as increased level of total nitrogen, total phosphorus, and macronutrients. Electrical conductivity, C/N ratio, PH, Total organic matter was decreased. The oxygen update rate (OUR) dropped in monoculture and rose in polyculture after 45 days. Both the culture has high quality stable compost free from pathogens and no specific differentiation
